My technology will be about the Sims 2 since i think its a fun and and easy way to learn many things. Since im going to do about the sims 2. I though that my sims could present it. So i am going to make a movie using the sims, which is one of its great advantages. I am going to do this by first,making my sims location, or home. I will create a big home, that has a kitchen, a bathroom, and a bedroom for adults,teens,child, toddler and baby. Then i will have a dining room, and a room where my sims will talk about it. like a studio. Next i have to practice making a move. There is a video camera button on the sims which i can use to video my sims. so i will practice the areas, and ofcourse furnish my house. i Will also create sims.

My introduction will have a girl sim, who would be the main character, and she would talk about how the sims can help people learn. Around her would be chairs where other sims would sit and be listening to my sim. She would say : The sims is a very interesting game. you can do many things with it like make a music videos or a series. You can also learn many things with it too, like weather changes and how to raise kids. You can create your own unique character and control her story, you can have a creative lives, like gothic people. or a nice normal homey life. Its your choice! I will show you some examples.

Main:

My sims will take you to show you first about the different ages. Then show you how bad teen sims would behave and how good teen sims will behave. They will show you how to raise kids. From a baby to a elder.

After that they will show you what a normal human needs for nutrients or else they would get fat (show video of sims from skinny to fat). Also it will show you how to use the time wisley. (going to job, school, etc.)

they will also show you how a sim reacts to certain things, like if a husband cheats on you and you find out, you wouldn't let that go easily. Also they would show how a relationship goes to acquaintance to something more or less.

you can also learn a few good fashion tips, create clothes for your sims in

photo shop. Genes can also transfer, showing kids how they do. like if the daddy has a pointy nose and the mom has black hair, the child will end up with the dads nose and the moms hair.
Also it can show a child what would happen if they dont study, 1. they wont get a good job if they dont go to college. 2. if they learnt how to study well from thier parent(s) then it would be easier for them to study in college, and even easier for them to learn skills, such as cooking or mechanics or creativity. Practice makes perfect. 3. they'll get a low amount of money and that would lead to less furniture and food and clothes.
I might ad some soft music in the background, maybe a theme song from the sims because i think that it would be boring to just read something with no music or sound in the background.

Conclusion:

second life may be the same as the sims, and even though its online, people think its better. its not, because on second life the graphics are not that good, and the characters don't look good either. plus its full of bad people and since its online it can be dangerous. On the sims, its on your computer, the graphics are great, you can create any kind of sims you want, and you don't have to search for items for your sims. The software that i am going to use to publish it is going to be windows movie maker.

Why i Chose The Sims 2-3

I chose the Sims 2-3 game play because it teaches us many things, like financial problems, diets and humans life, what an average human would do everyday. and also how to raise kids. I also chose it because its an easy way to learn these things, and parents might think its a waste of time but the sims actually teach us things even if we don't realize it sooner. We can create destinations, countries we went to and create families and actual celebrities we can also design our own items. I didn't want to do the Wii because the Wii needs several games for them to help, like call of duty for aiming, or cooking mama to cook. The sims only needs it original game to have all of this, its expansion packs just make it more exciting. Sure there might not be any action, but it has the things the will more likely happen in life. we don't all go through an experience where we hold a gun or where we have cook offs. Face book on the other hand has different things than the sims have. It has internet and real live people to chat to, but thats practically all, you cant have much fun on facebook as you can on the sims, plus facebook is all about interacting with people who are all around the world. And sims is about people and there emotions and how there actions will be, for example, if a husband cheats on his wife and the wife finds out, she will be furious and might even have a divorce. I didnt choose an ipod either because all you can do with it is listen to songs or watch something, but with the sims you can actually kind of experience it. This is why i chose the Sims 2-3 gameplay.

The disadvanteges about the sims 2-3 is that they have there own language. and since i want to create a sims 2 video where the sims have to explain to the people, i have to use subtitles.And the sims will be hard to control since this will be my first time creating a video on it.

I am deciding on the Nintendo Wii and the Sims 2, both teach us great things, but i am aiming for the one the probably teaches more.

List Of Usful things on Wii:

1. Can learn about guitars and drums, from rock band.

2. practice aiming

3. learn to cook from a game.

List of Useful things on the Sims 2-3

1. teaches us about life.

2. lets us interact with other people (sims)

3. let people think about how the sims would react.

4.learn different kinds of food.

5. Teaches us about style (how to dress sims)

6. Lets us run our businesses (sims 2 open for business)

7. Teaches us how to raise kids.

8. Lets us be creative with our sims lives.

9. how to use up time in the day (sims timing for jobs and sleep and eating)

10. sims go through same things people go through throughout life stages. (birthdays, school, love life, kids)

Out of all these options i think that the sims 2-3 will be more interesting to write about because of its many options.

The sims 2 could be used for teaching students how humans would interact or should interact. they can teach the kids about nutrition, a humans daily diet. for instance, if the sims eat to much and no exercise they become fat.

All students can use it wether they are unsure about life of nutrition or how death can occur, or just anything to do with life, from a baby to the death bed.

This could improve the lesson in many ways, one of those ways can be, is that it keeps the kids distracted, while they explore the human world online, they would be concentrating on it for a very long time because it catches there attention. the reason why it catches there attention is because it is a fun game and most kids learn by having fun.

My strength wasthat everything was enjoyable and that the story had good suspense,i had no weaknesses but i was suggested on putting the text in order because some people got confused when they read.

i did well in creating a story and making the facial expressions tomatch the characters.
i could have picked a diffrent variety of charcters and made there attitudes more intresting.

Well my friends would find it very intresting and a bit funny,so that we would makenumerous jokes about it and my family would be proud of me for creating a good story and taking my time to do it even if i rushed a bit in the end. my small cousins would find it very ice and it would influence them to play toondoo.

Today in I.T I worked really hard, because I reached part 8 and i did 9-10 at lunch time on Tuesday and Wednesday, i think i'm going to reach over 12 slides, and when i enter class the next day i plan to ask the teacher if she can help me post the comics on the blogs.

Well today i did 2 slides of BETRAYED! part one and 2, i reached the part where monica's bestfriend leaves her at the park. Today was a quiet class and i learnt something new, i learnt how to copy toondoo and paste it on paint, but is still dont know how to post it on my blog, i need the teacher to help me with that. other than that everything was easy and simple. i am starting on my third slide

I was the first to finish my design and plan a week ago, but with my horrible luck i forgot to save them and so i had to do it again, my plan complteley changed because i forgot my toondoo account and created another one, also i wrote my first blog today because i didnt know i had to keep track.

anyway my story is about a little girl who was walking in the park, gets lost and couldnt find her friends, then meets a friendly street girl who will help her find her mother and family and realized that they moved away and didnt want her anymore.

Plan:
first i will make a small comic about a shrimp boy who gets in loads of trouble because of his humerous mouth. and i'll make it a funny comic, i need the internet and the keyboard and mouse and also the moniter, i will not need music because this will be posted on my blog.
i will complete the project by making shrimp get adopted and live a happy ending.
the people that watch it will evaluate it by spelling and actions (if the actions make sense with the comment) and if its boring or not and how i can improve it.

My assignment will be a comic called the adventures of Shrimp, the website i will use will be toondoo because i think that it will look funny, it will be like comic strips andits about a small boy called Shrimp as his nickname and tells funny quotes that offend people and lets him get into alot of trouble, a once he is through one trouble he soon runs into the next! it will be 5 comic strips each one cut into two, and two full strips, it fist starts at a class room and ends in bed, there will be a total of 7 stips and 12 scenes. the way it will be evaluated is if it shows i put alot of effort in it and if it is a success on making people laugh, and if the amount of strips is acceptable. Unfortunatly it wont move but thats the whole point of a comic. Since i will be using toondoo i will need characters and props and backgrounds.

In macromedia you can draw anything you want and write anything and type any where with any font and size you want.

Reflection And Evaluation

My website is amazing, sure it might not be what i planned but i think i made it better than i had planned, its more colourful, and it has more pictures.
The information that i planned though is still the same, its the same information that i had planned from the begining.I wrote about animals senses when they know when they know a volcano is coming hours or days later.I also wrote about the animals with the best senses.And what kind of volcanos their are, like the ones under water or the world most deadliest.

Colour and design of website: Jana's Web

The colour is pretty good because it doesn't blend in, each colour is bold and easy to read
the heading though does not match the background, but the title is correct.but that's on page one, on page 2 and 3 there are paragraphs that have a very light and bright colour it can make someone blind.

Images:
the background image is big and clear, but the images under picture are really blurry, and i cant make out what it is.But the other pages have clearer pictures and background(1&2)

Navigation and organisation:
The links all work together, and they take us to the correct place mentioned.

Information pages:
their are 3 pages,and all of them have correct information, but there isn't alot of information on any of the pages.

Text:
The text is big enough to read but on some page like 1 and 2 they are to bright to see,like the title 'facts you have to know' is in light pink so its hard to see.

The wrighting is easy to see,and allthecoloursdont blend in to eachother but still match.

Images-Size:
The backround picture is a bit blurry not alot, but her other pictures are tiny, and some match the colour in the background so it is hard to see.Her background takes up the whole page.

Her links are only for two pages, page 1 islinkied to page 2, and page 2 is linked to page 1.and the fisrt page is linked to the thrd page and the third page is linked to the first page.

Information Pages:
she spelled valcanoe wrong in the first paragraph, enviroment is spelled incorectly on the second paragraphs.
her paragraphs are thin, there is not enough information on the first page.

Text - size: her text size is twelve and it is readable, even the colour is readable.

the only picture there is, is the background picture, there are no other pictures.

the backround immage fills in the whole page.And it is not blurry.

Bad website HRODC: The website isnt eye catching, first the colour is dull, then when you scroll down, the page becomes light yellow which hurts the eyes. Its a very long way to scroll down, they could have divided it up in pages, there are no pictures, and no titles telling us what we are entering or what we are reading.And we have to look for the page that we are looking for, we cant type it in a search box so it can lead us there because there is no search box!!

Good website Henkel: The website uses sort colours, its a short page and it has a place where you can type what you are searching for, and it lead you to it, it has alot of information on the first page, links for important news, it doesnt hurt the eyes.

My Disaster website Will be about eathquakes.

The Backround of my Webpage on the fist page will be a black background with a volcano in the background that is a little bit faded. The Letter colours will NOT be black because the background will be black so then the letters will not show, so the letters will be either light blue or normal blue.

On the first page i will put what the websites are about, like this : 1.What the website is about, then picture will be big but on the upper right cornerof the page. My page will be eye catching because it will have alot of ppictures of natural disasters, and there will be alot of colours poping out.But thats all going to be on page number one.

On page number 2 the background will be light orange, and the test writing will be maroon.

There will be information (at the top of the page) about hurricanes and otherother wind disasters that happend 2 years ago and more. Then at the body of the page it will talk about all the other natural disasters. Also at each corner of the page there will be a picture of natural disasters.and at the bottom of the page we will add 3 big and horrifying pictures of the natural disaster breaking houses and such.

And Finaly On page 3, the background will be pink, and the text will be black.The last page will talk about why each disaster is bad and how animals know there coming, and an easy way for a human to know when its coming(top page).There will be two pictures of the wisest animals that sense that a tornado or hurricane is coming, and there will be pictures that will be labled by there name.(Body of the page) Then a bibliography on where i got the information from and where i got the pictures from.(Bottom page) and that all.

Today in I.T I logged in to blogger,delicios and the wiki, and then i went to Inpiration 7.6 to brain storm on what I need to do on my new web site, so at the top the box in pink it says home page, then an arrow points from home page to a box that says page two, it also points to a box that says page 3, page three points to page 2 and page two points at page three, so its like a big triangle.

Which communication forms are synchronous? Synchronous communication is when you are talking to someone in real time, like on the phone, or on msn chat room, or even just face to face.
Which ones are asynchronous? Asynchronos means when you write someone a letter and wait for it to be sent and also wait when someone reads it and sends back, its the same with e-mails, you send it then wait for the reciever to open it and answer back.
What type of information would be conveyed by each form? For synchronos: the example is : if some one fell and broke his or hers hand, and you need to get him/her to the hospital pronto, you call the ambulance on the phone.

For Asynchronos : the example is: if you want to tell a friend how was your day but you cant use the phone you can always e-mail them.

I still didnt do much in IT this year because we just started lessons and this is my second lesson, but so far i first created an account in delicous, then Mrs.Lindsay asked us to answer the question by surfing on wikipedia and posting it, though it was boring , at least what she asked us to do was easy. Then she asked us to create a blog account and write about what i did or learnt in these past two lessons, which is what im doing right now.
